This was a dream of a wedding! The stunning backdrop of this idyllic castle, emotional outdoor ceremony and fabulous reception full of music, food and Aperol! A real joy to witness this big day, which took months to plan and prepare, as couples families flew from Australia. Planning a wedding in France is a challenge, especially if you live in another country and your guests will fly from every part of the world. Unless you’re a model, being photographed probably feels a little awkward. I do this for a living and still, feel a little out of place when I have my photos taken. I’m a big fan of engagement sessions for a few reasons.

First, they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera and all the attention of it on you. It takes time for most couples to warm up to being photographed. Timelines can be pretty tight on weddings days and 10-30 minutes may be all we have for portraits - which is why wedding day portraits turn out so much better when couples do engagement sessions ahead of time.

Second, you can showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you (and even include children or pets!). They’re great for save-the-dates, we’ve taken engagement photos anywhere from 18 months in advance to a few days before the wedding. Your complimentary session is included in the price, but you don’t have to book it only with your wedding package. It can make a great gift for newly engaged friends, anniversary gift to your significant other and so on.

Relaxed Beach Wedding in Saint Tropez, Cote d'Azur // Wedding of Dina & Victor

The Saint Tropez wedding of Dina and Victor was a highlight of the past summer. Lush greenery, amazing white sand and fabulous ceremony location overlooking the valley were as close to tropical perfection as a wedding can get. Just walking around the little huts made us feel like we’re in Polynesia, the temperature was reaching 40*C over lunchtime, so we were all glad the ceremony wasn’t until 5 pm. The whole day wasn’t taking place in Saint Tropez, but rather on the beach along the coast, in the region of Ramatuelle. It’s a small commune in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France, with its capital (Ramatuelle town) overlooking wine valleys and Saint Trop itself. It’s those sandy beaches you’re thinking of when talking about Saint Trop or south of France in general, as the town itself has only one small, rocky beach to its name.
