Central Park Engagement Shoot, NYC
I take time away from my personal trips to shoot couples abroad because it brings value both to me and to the couple. As mentioned in my previous blog post with Alessandra & Daniel's engagement photos on the Brooklyn Bridge, shooting at 7 am or earlier is really nothing new for me. I commit to these experiences and get amazing photos in return. Central Park is now one of my favourite places to photograph in NYC - it has amazing light, greenery, historical vibe to it and it's a great place for a relaxed, low key engagement photo shoot.
Lila & David’s engagement photos in New York’s Central Park
One of the many reasons I love travelling so much is because I get to meet people and experience things I wouldn't at home. Working as a photographer has made me so many friends I could just easily travel around and always find people to hang out with. We always find common ground - like the fact Lila is Hungarian and lives away from her family. We found many similarities in our lives and talking about them was a fun part of our shoot in Central Park.

Brooklyn Bridge Engagement Shoot, NYC
As a destination wedding photographer based in Northern Ireland, I really try to live up to my status and take every opportunity abroad and turn it into a magical experience for all of my couples. I love exploring together, looking for new angles, light and sometimes, I even love those busy tourist places where we have to start shooting at 7 am to get clear photos and fabulous light. I really do. It's all part of the experience, both mine and my couples.
Alessandra & Daniel’s Engagement photos on the Brookly Bridge, NYC
My trip to New York has definitely been the highlight of 2018 travel. I wanted to go for the longest time and because of all the immigration and visa process, it postponed up until October 2018. There has always been something more urgent than an expensive trip to NYC - but I've also always wanted to use this opportunity and shoot a wedding or engagement in the City. There has been no other way of doing this than buying a ticket, booking a hotel and saving money to really indulge in food, shopping & experiencing things the way I have always wanted. Including finding a couple who would love to have their photos taken in the iconic NYC locations.
