Old Rectory Killyman Wedding | Catherine & Joe’s Unforgettable Day in Northern Ireland

If you’re searching for a charming, relaxed and personality-filled Northern Ireland wedding venue, the Old Rectory, Killyman is one of those hidden gems that instantly feels special the moment you arrive. As a Northern Ireland wedding photographer I love photographing weddings at the Old Rectory because it’s warm, welcoming, beautifully laid out for a full wedding day, and perfect for couples who want a celebration that feels fun, modern and completely them.

Catherine & Joe’s wedding here was the perfect example of just how incredible this venue can be. Their day was filled with emotion, laughter, and what can only be described as insane craic, the kind of wedding where guests are still talking about it for years afterwards.

Why Couples Love Old Rectory, Killyman

One of the biggest reasons couples choose Old Rectory Killyman for their wedding is that everything flows so naturally. You can host your ceremony, drinks reception, dinner and party all in one place, which makes it stress-free for guests and amazing for capturing the full story through photography.

The venue offers a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, with plenty of room for mingling, beautiful corners for portraits, and that cosy “country house” feel without being overly formal. It’s ideal if you want your wedding to feel elegant but still relaxed and perfect for couples looking for wedding venues near Dungannon or planning a destination-style celebration in Northern Ireland.

Catherine & Joe’s Wedding Day Story

Catherine & Joe have been together for around ten years, after meeting at university, and you could really feel how much their guests had been waiting for this day. It was a gorgeous mix of Irish and English family and friends, and honestly the energy was unmatched from start to finish.

Their ceremony took place in the venue’s newest ceremony space, and it was everything a modern couple could want, heartfelt, personal and full of emotion. Officiated by Ciara Turley Humanist Celebrant (@ciaraturley.humanistcelebrant), there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. And yes… there was limoncello involved. Because if you can’t celebrate getting married with a shot of limoncello, what are we even doing?
